Join the Haw Creek Community Association for a public meeting where we will report on several significant projects impacting the Haw Creek community. Please plan to attend on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:00 pm at the East Asheville Public Library.

The buyer of the 26-acre landmark property at 767 New Haw Creek Road will attend. Currently in the process of closing, he will share his vision for the development of the property and answer your questions.

We are excited to be launching the Haw Creek Park Greenway campaign at this meeting. We will need strong community support for this first-ever greenway in the Haw Creek valley that will run alongside our namesake creek, connecting many community destinations. You can read about this now on our Greenway Campaign page at https://www.hawcreekavl.com/page-18084

The City's Project Manager for the new 4,000-foot section of sidewalk along New Haw Creek Road (between Beverly and Bell Roads) will attend and provide an update on this long awaited neighborhood improvement.

Other important community projects to be discussed include a new welcome sign at the Crockett Avenue entrance, Masters Park improvements, and the Little Free Library at Spruce Hill Apartments.

The meeting will close with a dessert social and an opportunity to get to know your neighbors. If you care to you are welcome to bring your favorite dessert but it is not necessary as a number of board members are excellent bakers.

An RSVP is appreciated as it helps us gauge attendance but is not required.
